AT&T Turns Off 4G on New Motorola and HTC Phones (NewsFactor)

NewsFactor - In response to customer complaints about a data cap on new 4G smartphones from AT&T such as Motorola's Atrix 4G and the HTC Inspire 4G, the wireless carrier said Wednesday that the lack of 4G zip is because the handsets' high-speed HSUPA capabilities are disabled. So until AT&T hits the switch, which the carrier said could come as early as next month, AT&T's new "4G" phones will perform no better than previous-generation 3G smartphones.
