It’s got to be weird being a Para-lympian under this government, knowing that a medal means you’ll lose your Disability Living Allowance. That’s not my joke, it’s Frankie Boyle’s. He posted it on Twitter during the Paralympic opening ceremony and it made me laugh. It’s perfect: succinct, savage, hypocrisy-deflating.
