The society is set to debut its Tom and Annette Lantos Center for Compassion, a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly animal-care center in Burlingame. The 56,700-square-foot property will be one of a handful of animal shelters nationwide to also feature wildlife rehabilitation services.
