ContributorNetwork - The launch of the Nintendo 3DS was a landmark, for two separate reasons. First: It was the first game console with genuine, three-dimensional graphics since the Virtual Boy (except that it didn't give you such a headache). And second, it was one of the first autostereoscopic 3d devices to be sold to a mass audience; perhaps the first if you don't count smartphones, which are usually only available to people who buy a data plan.
