Appolicious - With a hungry consumer market at its feet, Android’s OS continues to dominate in the US market. According to the latest Nielsen report, Android’s share of the smartphone market grew to 43 percrnt in the third quarter, up from 39 percent in Q2. Apple’s share stayed flat at 28 percent, while RIM’s BlackBerry OS continues to fall, dropping another 2 percent in the past three months. Microsoft’s mobile platforms combined make up 7 percent of the market, while Nokia’s Symbian OS and HP’s webOS have been relegated to the “other” category.
