Chennai, July 9 : The Tamil Nadu Act, providing reservation for OBC Muslims and Christians in educational institutions and government jobs was not a religion-based reservation, but one for equitable distribution of seats among backward Muslims in proportion to their population, a Muslim organisation submitted before the Madras High Court today.
