The highest level that Bill Frindall reached as a cricketer was his county's second team, the equivalent of minor league baseball. Yet Frindall, who died Thursday of Legionnaires' disease apparently contracted during a recent visit to Dubai, was nevertheless one of the best-known faces, and voices, in cricket. He was 69.
