In a bid to hold onto some of country music's most famous instruments, including Bill Monroe's mandolin and Maybelle Carter's guitar, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum announced Monday it was launching a $1.1 million fundraising campaign for the instruments, even as officials admitted it would be difficult to raise money in this economy.
