Five movies. Four years of build-up. We knew it was coming, and now it's here: The Avengers. Those previous superhero films, The Incredible Hulk (2008), Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Captain America (2011), and Thor (2011), were essentially prequels to Joss Whedon's tale of Avenger adventure. Ya know what? It was worth the wait.
