If common wisdom says America is becoming increasingly religious, you'd be hard pressed to prove that in Connecticut. A Trinity College study based on the 2008 American Religious Identification Survey said people professing no religious belief — the "nones" — make up 15 percent of the population, while that percentage grows to 20 percent in the west and northeast.
