Sip cocktails and raise money for homeless pets beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Big Martini 9, a benefit for the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, will take place in the space below McCormick & Schmick’s on the Country Club Plaza. Admission is $25 in advance or $30 at the door. You’ll get four drink vouchers and appetizers. The event also includes a live and silent auction.
