ContributorNetwork - COMMENTARY | Sen. Herb Kohl (D-WS) announced Friday, May 13, that he would not seek reelection in 2012, making him the fifth Democratic senator (sixth if independent Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut is considered) and the eighth senator overall to announce his intent not to defend their incumbency. The story broke early Friday morning on Chris Cillizza's blog "The Fix" at the Washington Post. At noon, Kohl made it official with a statement.
