According to the study of Hispanics and faith by the Pew Hispanic Center and the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, 68 percent of American Hispanics are Roman Catholic, 15 percent are evangelical or born-again Christians, 5 percent are mainline Protestants, 3 percent belong to other Christian denominations and about 8 percent are secular.
