Hollywood, cable carriers mull 'premium' $30 on-demand movies

With the DVD market continuing to tank, Hollywood is increasingly looking to on-demand video to replace the lost revenue, and one of the new ideas that studio execs are reportedly betting on are "premium" on-demand movies — that is, movies that go the on-demand way shortly after they leave theaters, well before they debut on DVD or Blu-ray. Naturally, "premium" doesn’t mean "cheap."
