The stray dog rescued last week from the frozen Maumee River is now in the care of the Toledo Area Humane Society and undergoing evaluation for "neurological issues." The black female chow mix was transferred Thursday to the humane society from the Lucas County Dog Warden, which had kept the dog since the Dec. 21 rescue and named her "River."
