PORTLAND – The Oregon Humane Society was seeking donations to help pay for a costly animal rescue. Last week, OHS said 169 animals were rescued from Circus World Pet Store in Newport. The rescue included 30 birds, 11 puppies and dozens of reptiles. OHS estimated the cost of caring for the pets during their first seven days at the OHS shelter to be over $40,000.
