The society said Sunday that it sent members of its Animal Rescue Team to several counties. The team located an emergency pet shelter at the Craven County Fair Grounds in New Bern to house displaced pets. The society was also called in to assist in Pamlico County to work with emergency response agencies to rescue and shelter displaced pets.
