Rahul Dravid has given up the most high profile and taxing job in the country and has stepped down as the skipper of the Indian team. Dravid, who is the captain of both the Test and One-Day team, met Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sharad Pawar in New Delhi on September 13, 2007, and expressed his desire to step down as the captain of the Indian team.
