The national Legal Aid Society has been around since 1905 to provide legal services to low-income individuals. Legal Aid lawyers and volunteers deter domestic violence, fight consumer fraud, protect the rights of children, protect the elderly and otherwise ensure access to justice for all, regardless of ability to pay.
