It is, let me admit freely, the biggest chill I’ve ever felt in a moviehouse — not the biggest fright, but the most chilling, shuddery moment I’ve ever experienced at the movies. I was only a kid, it’s true, but the expression on Dana Wynter’s face after that final kiss in Don Siegel’s 1956 “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” has stayed in my head ever since.
