To hear Andy Friedman tell it, he didn't choose music. Music chose him. A gifted visual artist who graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in painting, Friedman spent his youth learning the techniques of the old masters and at the tender age of 23 decided it was time for him "to create the perfect piece of art."
