NewsFactor - Sunday, July 15, was supposed to be the day that Internet music died: A new fee schedule was set to go into effect, including a $500 "per channel" minimum fee. Because many of the most popular audio-streaming sites, such as Pandora and 365Live, allow users to create their own specialized channels of music built around specific artists or songs, they were facing the prospect of paying the minimum per channel fee on tens or even hundreds of thousands of channels.
