Last year in one of my gen. ed. classes, my teacher asked the following question: Are religion and morality connected? According to a philosopher named John Arthur, moral motivation does not rely on religion and I agree. I believe that sometimes religion can be motivation for many decisions or events that millions deem as tragedies and are ultimately immoral.
