For decades, the Michigan Chronicle was the only publication that African-American Detroiters could depend on for the news of their lives and culture. And when it came to religious news, Robbie McCoy was often the woman churches turned to for coverage. Mrs. McCoy, 91, died June 5 at Botsford Continuing Care Center in Farmington Hills. No cause of death was given by her family.
